Programs

Curriculum, After School, Meal Plan, and Summer Camp.

At Cinderella School, we implement The Creative Curriculum, developed by Teaching Strategies, Inc. to provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for children.

This research-based curriculum is designed to promote children’s social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development through hands-on, play-based activities. The Creative Curriculum emphasizes the importance of child-led exploration, allowing children to follow their interests and curiosity, while building essential skills.

Our teachers use the curriculum’s framework to plan developmentally appropriate activities, set learning goals, and assess children’s progress. By incorporating a variety of materials, experiences, and opportunities for creative expression, The Creative Curriculum fosters a love for learning and supports children in becoming confident, independent learners. Through this approach, we strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that inspires children to explore, discover, and grow.

Preschoolers

Ages 4-5

  • Preschool is designed to prepare young children for academic success and social development as they transition to formal schooling.

Our curriculum focuses on fostering a love for learning through a combination of structured activities, play-based learning, and hands-on experiences.

Children engage in age-appropriate lessons that cover early literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies concepts, all while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

We create a supportive and inclusive environment where children can explore their interests, build friendships, and develop important social skills.

Through a balance of teacher-led instruction and child-initiated activities, our preschool program aims to instill a lifelong love for learning and provide a solid foundation for academic success.

For instance, the daily schedule blocks out sessions for circle time, choice time, small groups, outdoor play, and read-aloud time, as well as establishes a sequence for routines and experiences.

Curriculum

Infant and Toddlers

Ages 0-3

  • The infant and toddler program at Cinderella School is designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for the youngest members of our community.

Our highly trained and experienced staff members are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of each child, while fostering their development through age-appropriate activities and interactions.

From tummy time and sensory play for infants to guided exploration and socialization for toddlers, our program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child in our care.

We prioritize open communication with parents to ensure that each child’s individual needs and preferences are met, creating a supportive and enriching experience for both children and families.

Our program for infants focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment where they can explore and learn through sensory experiences and gentle interactions with their caregivers.

Infants are given opportunities for cuddling, feeding, and diaper changes to ensure their basic needs are met, while also being exposed to age-appropriate toys and materials that stimulate their senses and encourage early motor skills development.

Our trained staff members closely monitor each infant’s progress, and provide individualized care to support their growth and development during this crucial stage of life.

At our toddler program, children engage in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that promote their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Our experience and caring staff members facilitate structured play, art projects, music and movement activities, and sensory exploration to stimulate the toddlers’ curiosity and creativity.

Through guided interactions and group play, toddlers learn important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and communicating with their peers.

Our program also includes outdoor play, story time, and simple educational activities to support early learning concepts.

We strive to create a nurturing and engaging environment where toddlers can thrive and develop a love for learning.

FREE VPK

Ages 4-5

  • Our VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Program follows The Creative Curriculum emphasizing hands-on learning and child-led exploration.

Children in the VPK Program engage in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Our experienced teachers create a stimulating environment where children can learn through play, art, music, and interactive experiences that cater to their individual interests and abilities.

The Creative Curriculum encourages children to ask questions, make discoveries, and express themselves creatively; fostering a love for learning and a sense of wonder about the world around them.

By following this approach, we believe it will provide a solid foundation for each child’s future academic success and lifelong excitement for learning.

Meal Plan

Cinderella School offers all enrolled children nutritious and healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks on a daily basis.

The menus are posted monthly!

  • Our program participates in the U.S.D.A Food Program in which our children’s food is prepared by a pre-approved catering company that adheres to the nutritional guidelines set forth by the Department of Food and Health.

We follow all recommendations on healthy foods and their preparation, as well as the portion sizes served based on the rules and regulations provided by the U.S.D.A Food Program.

The school has an on-site kitchen where all food products and supplies are stored, refrigerated, or maintained at the proper serving temperatures. The preparation and disbursement of each meal per class group is conducted by our kitchen staff member.

As participants of the U.S.D.A program, we require that no outside food items be brought to our school.

  • If a child requires a modified diet, arrangements shall be made with the administration and parents with a provided physician’s note, which will be kept on file.

  • If a child requires a special diet based upon their medical needs, such as food allergy or for religious reasons, the request must be made in writing and submitted to the Administrative office by the child’s health care provider, which details an individualized care plan that must be prepared in consultation with the family member and the staff involved, who interacts with the child during the program day.

  • All meals and snacks are served in a relaxed atmosphere. Special effort is made to avoid children waiting to be served or food sitting out for long periods of time before consumption.

The preparation and disbursement of each meal per class group is conducted by our kitchen staff member.

Our staff members join the children and set an example of good table manners. The administration takes great pride in providing a diverse menu, which incorporates the types of foods children may be familiar with and are likely to enjoy.
